Industrial Painting

While many of us may be willing to grab a can of paint and a handful of brushes, rollers and assorted other tools to paint our own house, when it comes to industrial painting this is a job best left to the professionals. Working on a one or two story house with a ladder is within the scope of most homeowners, but when you are looking at a commercial high rise or a manufacturing facility, a simple extension ladder and a paint roller won't help. The first step in most industrial painting jobs is to properly prepare the surfaces to be painted. Instead of using a paint scraper or a simple putty knife, the surfaces are likely to be cleaned and prepped by using either an ultra-high pressure jet of water or depending on the coating sand blasting with wet or dry sand. Neither of these is something that should be done by anyone who has not had the proper training and does not have the appropriate safety equipment for the job.

Most industrial buildings tend to be quite a bit taller than the average home and will require the use of specialized lift equipment including scaffolds and hydraulic bucket lifts to lift the painters up to working heights. In the case of high rise buildings this may include the use of moveable platforms that are suspended from the top of the building. industrial painting services have all of the necessary equipment and employees that have been trained to use them all safely. While you can go to your local discount hardware superstore and pick up a few gallons of exterior paint, industrial painting often requires the use of much more complex coatings. Not only must the employees be trained in how to apply these coatings using the appropriate equipment, they also have to learn the proper safety precautions that must be observed as many of these coatings can be toxic. This not only includes during the application process, it covers clean up and disposal at the end of every day's work and at the end of the project.

Those companies that offer industrial painting services often have many years of experience in painting and may have their roots in residential painting. Some are able to offer both services depending on how large they are and whether or not they have people that are capable of performing residential painting on staff. Some will do residential painting as a way to keep their painters busy during slow times; others run both services on a full time basis. If you are looking for superior industrial painting services in Los Angeles and the surrounding area, you need to contact United Painting Co. Their teams are fully trained in all aspects of industrial and commercial painting. Whether your building is a single story the size of a football field or 40 stories straight up, they have painting crews that can handle the work and leave your building looking fully refreshed in new coat of paint when they are done.
